Forbes names Wildberries owner Bakalchuk as Russia’s richest woman

MOSCOW, Feb 20 (PRIME) -- Co-founder and owner of online retailer Wildberries Tatyana Bakalchuk has become the richest woman in Russia according to Forbes, by leaving behind Inteco Management President Yelena Baturina, the leader of the recent years, PRIME reported on Thursday.

Forbes said Bakalchuk’s fortune increased by U.S. $400 million over a year to $1.4 billion as of Thursday. Wildberries’ turnover spiked 88% to 223.5 billion rubles in 2019.

Baturina’s fortune remained flat at $1.2 billion.
